Lying on his/her back, child should be bending and straightening his/her legsTIPS/STRATEGIES:

Rolls to his/her back from right and left sides
TIPS AND STRATEGIES:
- Place child in side-lying, having child track toward moving the toy behind him/her.
- Passively move child onto his/her back from a side-lying position.
Elevates head and upper trunk for short periods, bearing weight in forearms/hands
TIPS AND STRATEGIES:
- Play on stomach "tummy time"
- Place child on stomach over legs with toys to engage the child
- Place child on his/her stomach with small roll under chest. Provide toys to engage child
With pull to sit, child is able to hold his/her head in midline throughout motion
TIPS AND STRATEGIES:
- Slowly lower child from sitting onto back to increase cervical(neck) strength. Give support to the back of head as needed, however let child hold head in midline on the way down from sitting as far as they can without assistance.
